Sure chesterd5 has done a video on how too on here.
Belive locking tools are needed for the cams and the volvo ones seem to differ from generic ones in that they lock the sprockets as well as the shaft. Belive it is possible to do it with the generic ones but given the potential for disaster I'm chickening out and taking it to the dealers for my cam belt change.

300 tdi landrover I can give you chapter and verse, do mine every 30k, but if you get those wrong it's a few bent push rods not holed pistons and smashed valves.
