Loosening the 2 screws that hold the ignition switch bracket to the lower dash will allow some movement of the tumbler and allow getting to the pin easier;

Above info correct...Ignition key MUST be in place and turned to "1" position as noted in order to depress the pin. If that cannot be done i.e. key lost, or broken in place, the pin must be ground flat with e.g. Dremel, and then the tumbler can be extricated.

Easiest to do all this with the seat removed, believe me.
