If I'm reading your question correctly: The old, broken hinge part is held in place by mere pins a nominal 1.5mm in diameter and 15 to 20mm long.
Just push the existing ones through into the fender. They fall into the abyss, never to be seen again. The old hinge piece is now free from the car.
The new hinge kit comes with new pins. I lost one and made one from a nail.
After finding a nail made from the same sized wire stock I cut the head off and stuck it in the hole. EEE-ZEE. Kira
