If they do what you ask and are happy with the work, how they're branded makes no odds does it ?
I use a mechanic who has no specialty or affiliation, but is honest and logical. He does lack a bit of flair when considering alternative/new products (i.e. using Liqui Moly Purge etc) but apart from that he is spot on, for me.
Im surprised the Volvo Inde wouldn't have a clue about this fault. I understand its a common issue, hence the aftermarket replacement silicon pipe that they make, to help.
As you say though, this forums collective sharing of previous faults and remedies makes it a great place to narrow down that annoying problem.
