The lack of RHD heater valves are a bit of a problem. I had forgotten about the bit that fits onto the valve to operate the second cable going back to the heater.
I wonder if it might be possible to recondition the valves. The main problem with them is leaks from the bit where they join in the middle. On my original one the hose clamps holding the pipes on had deformed the pipe fitting a bit.
This is the sort of part Classic Volvo parts needs to be looking into getting re-made. Trouble is out of all of the 740/940's built only a small number were non air con and RHD. How many of those are still on the road ?
Out of interest I have just emailed Bosch Automotive Tradition to see if they can offer any suggestions.
