Valid points, but I don't think anyone would advocate having a fixed wire with a mini / micro USB / lightning connector on the end which would have very limited application. A decent USB power socket rated at about 2A would be a useful addition to allow the driver to plug in device(s) of his choosing. Even a wireless charging cradle needs to get its power from somewhere
