Spoke to Volvo dealer's parts desk today to see how much an official replacement part is.

It was over £1,000.

He also said they are coded to the car and can't be re-coded, so if you got one from a breaker it would be no use. Not totally sure I believe that, though.

So it seems I have to choose between having a working USB port or working parking sensors and radio. Can't have both unless I want to spend a grand.

Thanks Volvo, what a great piece of design to link those items together.
