I'm currently averaging 36/37 from an S60 D3. The best I ever got from it on a long run sticking to national speed limits was 47/48mpg.
My previous EU III D5 would easily crack 53MPG on a run but these new DPFs are killing MPG in a similar way cats killed MPG in petrols.
That's probably why pollution is on the rise but no one will ever hold there hands up and admit it.
