The diesels in these models are fairly easy to work on and loads of help on here. I recently bought a replacement v40 diesel and had a seized EGR valve which led to replacing the inlet manifold and removing the turbo and also a leaking fuel injector.... didn't expect either so I feel your pain!
Thanks, your all very helpful which is great just someone point me in a direction of things to start checking tomorrow, im a diy mechanic so little jobs are ok!
