Probably.
The cam in an F engine is pretty dull, plus you have a Cat to contend with. And a pedal shortage..
Shouldn't affect emissions (my one is in a 79 car so this isn't crucial.no cat of course).
MPG wise, it hasn't hurt at all. Got about 30mpg from a laden 265 with overdrive M46 and a 3.5 diff.
