I went to have a look at this as it was localish (35 miles away) and in the main it was a reasonably solid car that had a fair amount of previous work done including a respray.
There was plenty of welding required although the wheel wells, rear arches and full length outer sills had been previously done to a good standard.
It did have a fair bit of rust in strange places such as the roof gutters etc which would have been tricky to repair to make a good car, but it could have quite easily been patched up to give someone a daily driver.
The guy couldn't get it running though and had never driven it on the road, but its a Volvo, I'm sure it would have been fine!
Fingers crossed we see it back on the road soon .....
