I have one that colour , i find the paint quite soft and thin on the sharp edges like on top of the door frames , it rubs through with a small rub of T cut on the edges .when chipped it shows a light colour primer , almost lemon colour .
I'm convinced it is original though . The 1979 343 paint is completely different , It is hard and thick and has stood a T-Cut most years since 1981 with no ill effect .
