I think its ment to be a more realistic real world test as you can't dictate who you crash with. Having pulled people out of a crash simillar to this where the cars were a Renault modus and a skoda octavia. I would rather have a safer car than the flashy one as the doors on the modus opened but they wouldn't on the skoda which was a newer and much bigger car.
