Question '02 V70 Steel wheels for the impending Winter

Hello.
I've done a little searching but not yet found a concise answer:

I've used Conti TS850's the last two horrendous winters on my old Peugeot 406 (16" wheels) and they were magnificent in HeavyRain/sleet/Snow/Ice.
I'd like to repeat that winter success (no close shaves/instability in foul weather) with the Volvo.

The previous owner fitted low profile 17's 224/45/17 I think.. [im not at home with the car currently]. I'm not massively happy with them.
They tramline a fair bit and I'm not convinced they are remotely helping the ride or economy either. The rubber on them is also pretty average (quality not depth).

Are the standard wheels for an '02 V70 15" or 16" ?

When looking at second hand steel wheels- what size/fitment do I need to be hunting for?
What are the tyre sizes for steel wheeled 15/16"?

I have searched so please don't maul me too hard.
Thanks.
