I have a "would like to spend no more than" figure but this is subjective when to take into account the car the spec etc. As I had said in my original post it would benefit both me and you if you didn't have to sake what a car dealer offers you as a car us just a means to make a profit,whereas I want the best car for myself at a good price.
I had a conversation with a dealer earlier this week about a car younger than yours and the dealer kept mentioning "what the car owed him" in terms of the price he wanted to sell me the car for,which was significantly more than book value.
I would prefer to hear what you are looking for,for the car. It would also be good to see some pictures of the car too.
