Hi.
Even if you completely remove the intake from the turbo, it will only be able to pass 'so much' air through itself anyway. The standard airbox is not the restriction, the turbo is, just as the turbo itself is the main restriction on the exhaust.
This is not the case with NA cars, that actually respond well to better intakes to a point. If you want to get more air through one of those then ........ put a supercharger or turbocharger on it........
