Has it ever worked on your car? I'm sure I've read that a software update from volvo is required to make it work. I can't open all my windows using the key fob, but oddly can close them all!
To turn the traction control off you need to rotate the dial on the indicator stalk until the dash display reads "DSTC ON" and then hold the reset button on the stalk. I don't think that fully disables the TC though..it's always partly enabled.
