I do really hate all these post Ford changes ,it is plain to see that all they want is our money for failed parts!! or even blame us for putting in the wrong fluid! why change to Pentosin, ok if your in Canada somewhere cold but surely not here in the UK.
Among my pet hates after 2000 are:
DMF, Internal Slave Cylinder, Fly By Wire, VVT and now ATF versus Pentosin.
All these stupid changes for what!!! Profit.
The older Volvo mileages for parts do not stand anymore my S40 1.8 is on it`s second VVT in 72,000mls and i won`t repair it out of spite it still does 38mpg but i hate the car, now at 84,000 and just had both it`s droplinks done and a bottom wishbone joint for the MOT.
I will not ever buy a post Ford Volvo again.
Sorry about that but i feel do better now!
