2009 XC60 D5 "SE LUX" AWD Manual
 

I'm gently testing the market with my trusty XC60 D5 as it hasn't been driven much lately due to the current 'situation" and the fact I'm in my other 2 cars more often than the XC60.
£1000s have been spent on regulate servicing as well as preventative maintenance in future proofing this great example. I had great plans on extended Euro trips in the XC60 and then the "world situation" happened in 2020.
While I'm absolutely not desperate or forced to to sell it, I would prefer if it went to a fellow VOLVO member on here who will appreciate all the "above & beyond" preventative work I've done in the past 12 months hence why it's currently only advertised FOR SALE on here.

2009 (EURO 4) 185 PS XC60 D5 SE "LUX" AWD with 6 Speed Manual.

In stunning Savile Grey pearl paint (looks more like dark blue) with equality stunning Soft beige full leather interior and Nordic light oak centre console.
Full Service History from the same supplying dealer "MILL Garages North East" who SOLD this car twice, once as Brand New vehicle then again as Volvo Approved Used... who also serviced it from 2009 till 2016. Regular Indy garages servicing there after. A4 folder bursting with numerous past & present invoices.
Last big serviced in July 2020 @ 150K miles ... current mileage @ 156K miles.
Full Original VOLVO book pack with Owner's manual, service history booklet etc..fully stamped up to date and both remote keys in working order.
MOTed, Taxed & insured so can be driven away by the new owner on the same day of viewing.
HPI clear (please feel free to do your own MOT history & HPI checks) the VRN is: NX09GXD

High (SE LUX) specification with additional factory options such as: Xenon lights, rear tint, 18" alloys with matching PIRELLI Scorpion VERDE All season tyres all round with 5-6 mm tread remaining.
Dealer fitted "WITTER" tow bar.
New Bilstein B4 shocks all round , New FIBI top mounts X4 and coil spring all round, New drop links and other suspension components as well.
Brand New BOSCH PAS pump, reservoir & fresh fluid, both Aux belts & tensioner (done on time)
Gearbox oil changed, Diesel filter changed, EGR valve cleaned out (it wasn't particularly bad in the first place)
New Genuine VOLVO twin outlet rear exhaust & valance (later XC60 design)
New BOSCH glow plugs
New OEM main thermostat + fresh coolant
NEW YUASA "5 Year Guarantee" battery fitted at the end of 2020.
Cam-belt not due until 2025 or 183K miles (whichever comes first) It was done @ VOLVO main dealer early for some unknown reason in 2015 @ 75K miles.
VOLVO Front seatbelts recall done in December 2020 and front windscreen rebounded by VOLVO in October 2020.
Just had the A/C re gassed and sanitised with HOLTS bacterial car sanitiser ready for its new owner.
The whole interior has also been deep cleaned when I bought it (both front seats removed and the whole carper (front to back) steam cleaned & deodorised.
Brand New "H.D." GENUINE VOLVO black rubber floor mats fitted after the deep clean and the whole interior has been regularly vacuumed and cleaned ever since.

My asking price of £6250 reflects the above average condition and the recent expenditure on the "above & beyond" preventative maintenance of my XC60 which is near impossible to find on similar age/speck cars these days.

HOLTS Car Sanitiser
 

Few obligatory pix enclosed :regular_smile: of the HOLTS Car Sanitiser I used after the recent A/C re gas.
I highly recommend this product as it's simple to use and very effective.

After another week of sitting idle I decided to take the old faithful (XC60) out for a decent long run to North London & back. As always it performed impeccably, averaged a "real world" 34 MPG and didn't put a foot wrong, so to speak. It also reminded me of what a great engine the D5 is :cool: and the XC60 it propels being pretty decent too :wink_smile:
Subsequently I've ended up having second thoughts about selling it :thinking2:

Fresh 12 Months MOT
 

Quick update...

Since the original MOT had less than 6 months left I thought I'd book the XC60 for a new MOT test to make sure all is well.
I'm happy to report it passed today (without any advisories what so ever) which is reassuring to know not only for me but also for any potential buyers.

The asking price remains the same @ £5999 however it now comes with the benefit of a 12 months MOT certificate, valid until the 5th of May 2022.

The XC60 has now been provisionally SOLD, deposit has been paid and it's awaiting outstanding balance & imminent collection.

My XC60 D5 is now SOLD, fully paid for and driven away this evening :sad_smile: by a lovely couple from Ipswich so it'll still live on in the East Anglia region.
Already missing that unique 5 cylinder rumble.
