Videos of restoration of P1800 making new panels!

Hi all,
I was altered to these guys working on the restoration of a P1800 in Poland on the 1800 list. Fantastic workmanship and great to watch. All panels appear to be hand made! I particularly like "Making parts for Volvo 2".

He's been a busy chap

I was most amused by the ever changing hair styles through out the project and that arc-eye resistant dog...

Amazing workmanship.

Hi Phil,
I'm pretty new around here but this fellow in Poland has been the latest inspiration for my 1800 project. His work is simply amazing.

If you, or anyone else is interested, OTT has recently posted a new Part 6 video on YouTube...

There's still a few highly skilled metal shaping guys in England, Geoff Moss of MPH motor panels and David Gardiner of Classic Metal Shaping are in another league to your average car restorer. If you want high end work these are the guys to check out.

Thanks Burdekin! I appreciate the heads up on Mr. Moss and Gardiner.

I hadn't seen any of either of their videos before but will be checking out more of them. I especially liked watching and listening to Mr. Moss as he reminded me of one of my earliest mentors... including the ever present cigarette... lit or not... as he works!

Thanks again for the tip!

I built a English wheel and then went and spent a week with Geoff down in Cornwall, was fantastic and would highly recommend it if anyone is wanting to learn the English wheel. David Gardiner does a series of tutorial videos you can buy.

Good for you Burdekin! The younger generations won't know what they've lost if these skills aren't passed down by those who care enough to do so!
