Fuel Rail Coupling.. Pressure Sensor addition

Hi All

I need to know the size of the fuel rail coupling...

Im trying to add a T Piece to it so I can see fuel pressure for the new ECU Im fitting.

Need its for connecting a pressure sensor.

Anyone help or any ideas ?

Cheers

Don't you have a Schrader valve on your fuel rail for measuring pressure ?
( Tyre valve basically )

Yes I do but this is to connect a sensor to the ECU for fuel pressure so need to add a T-Piece on the fuel line.

On a spare fuel rail off a 98 V70, the outside of the thread measures at 12.5mm. So M12 with a fine pitch I guess ?

seems like volvo doesn't even list the male part of the coupling, and the female part only comes with the line

At the back of the engine there is a connection from the metal fuel line to the flex fuel line that runs under the car, im trying to find a T piece to add the sensor there.. can find AN fittings but not this one ...arrhhh

As you have identified where you need the T piece to go can you not remove the flexible hose from the car and take that - with the pressure guage - to your local hydraulic fittings chap and ask them if they can supply fittings to suit. In the past I have found hydraulics men to be very helpful.

I went to mend a hose today..... they could not help.

They said it may be Half Inch UNF. But god knows

Im not familiar with these types of fittings, conical end of them or the terminology of them.

I just need to Tee out and connect a 1/8" NPT into it !
