S60 Mystery oil leak near drive belt
Hey,
I own a 2001 Volvo S60 2001 with the B5204T engine. I recently got home to find a trail of oil steadily following me. With the oil leaking quickly I jacked it up to investigate. I found nothing except the oil covering a wide area. It even managed to hit the bottom of the drive belt I think which may have kicked some drops up into the top of the bay. The oil pan and filter seemed fine for that matter. I was just wondering if anyone has any brainstorm ideas of what it may be? I understand you can't see the car itself. Maybe an oil feed pipe for the turbo? The car now has absolutely no oil, practically oil changed itself. Thank you |
I would like to clarify that I meant serpentine belt and not the drive belt.

When the camshaft seal blew out on our V70XC it emptied all 6 litres in just a couple of miles.

Fixed
It turns out that it was the intake camshaft gasket seal. It popped out and spilled everything.
