Abandoned 79 Volvo 245 - lets save it...

Hi all, so I know some of you follow my Youtube Channel www.youtube.com/simspsonsclassics already but I thought I would share this project with you all.

This car was offered up on the 240 Owners facebook page and after chatting to the late owners son, I agreed to save it. They seemed keen as I have already saved an old Volvo on the channel before...
So what shall I do with it?

I have some ideas and I am sure they will unfold but for now here is a walk around of the car. I will try and upload some pics on here also and create a thread of the progress.

Kind Regards

The sensible thing would be to strap on a turbo

This is one plan I have, that or some nice webber carbs and do something a little different.

One thing is for sure I will be needing to collect some parts but wow this thing is in good shape really apart from the scabby bits you can see in the recent video.

ITB's and fuel injection would be something you don't really see others doing.

If you watch Goblin works to see all the things not to do

I have seen ITB's as an option, do you know of any good bolt on kits? there is all sorts of cheap ones floating about on line.

I do remember the Goblin works car......

Hi guys, in the boot well u found a set of Allen Sythe blades. I would like them. If u look closely at one, u should see Allen stamped on.
Further, I know of a 245 in similar state, with same colour interior in good nick. Text me, 07984319748. Cheers, Mark.

Excellent I will take a look. I am gathering plans while I get the suspension fixed then go from there but I want the car a little faster and sounding nicer, so whether that be with ITB's or some split Webbers, I am not sure yet.

Hi thanks for the response, I will take a look at them and get back to you, a few people have said they might be worth listing for sale.
It sounds like you might have found another Gem of a car to....
