larger diameters are known to cause problems with rubbing on the inner wheel arch, you may have to adjust the steering stop and of course that can reduce your turning circle

im sure others will come along and give more accurate info on that but something to bear in mind anyway

i believe 17s are ok?

imagine REDUCING the turning circle of the barge!

no more 3 point turns

45..!

mine are 195/65 R15, I can feel it hitting the stops on full lock and never had any rubbing, can do a 3 pointer pretty much anywhere the same as I would have in any previous car ?

I just know I've heard other people commenting on the larger wheels being a problem in that way, that's all

Yup. My V70 R has 235/40 R18s so wider tyres, bigger diameter wheels and lower suspension and I'm constantly hitting the steering stops during town driving and rubbing the arches when parking.

They look nice though

Recommended tyre sizes are:-

205/55 R16
215/55 R16
225/45 R17
235/40 R18

Smaller wheels will give a softer ride over the pothole ridden roads, bigger wheels will be harsher

Wheel offset is important, 17" Volvo wheels are around ET49 (offset), Volvo 16" wheels are between ET43 and ET49 (offset)

17" wheels require black steering stops to prevent rubbing

I used them a couple of years ago for a set of alloys and tyres for my camper, they were really helpful and sourced a specific set of tyres I wanted (Toyo H09 mud/snow) also supplied hi pressure valves as required for the camper price and delivery was really competitive .

Regarding the wheels/tyres for the V70 I'm thinking of going the other way, I currently have the original fitted 225/45 R17 but the pot holes here in rural Devon are so bad I'm thinking of going to R16 or maybe even R15.

I’m on my 16” winter wheels at the moment and going to postpone fitting the 17” summer wheels as long as I can, the 16s give a more compliant ride over the potholes

195-65-15, perfectly adequate and a more affordable tire size, morphed into 205-55-16. And the P3 is on 17's! (Anguish)
