XC 90 2016 Auxiliary Battery Replacement
Hi
I need to change my AUX battery. Volvo gave me the part number 32238082. I'm struggling to find a replacement via non-VOLVO sources. Any recommendations or advice please. |

I have always had 3-4 years MAX for every battery bought. The Volvo one lasted 11 years and 100,000 miles. My advice is to buy a genuine Volvo battery. Or at the very least get a quote, you may be suprised? |
ECP, about £94 iirc for the aux one under the bonnet, £250 ish for the main one in the boot,
Make sure it's an AGM one, ppl will sell you other types but you need an AGM one if you don't want errors or an early failure of the battery, some good tubes about showing you how to replace the battery and it's worth watching as it's location makes it really easy to short the car out if you're not careful. |

AUX definitely needs replacing. I've taken it out so easy enough to change over. Can't seem to find a non-VOLVO substitute??? Volvo one is £91.

volvo specified these belts themselves to suit the conditions it operates under , There were problems with them in 2012 and they were updated about 2 years later and the change interval halved . A diesel engine when it first fires gives massive tugging force on the belts . this is the time they can fail . |

Yes, battery not belt, but thanks anyway. Just thought with car batteries such a common commodity and widely sold, finding a replacement would be more easily available.

That's the first Aux battery I have heard of that has failed since 2008 when they were introduced .. how often are they changed on alarm systems and UPS systems I wonder ? |
This will fit but if you really want an alternative battery, the dimensions are within a few mm and poles are the correct way round. Volvo size is 150x90x130mm
