I've Just bought a 1971 144 GL
 

Hi Everyone,

I've just managed to find abd buy a 1971 144GL after the best part of 7 years of searching.

does any one else own a 144GL ? - just how rare are these , I've looked just about ever week on ebay and the various other car sales sites and this is only the second one I've seen for sale and the other one was a later flush handle model.

Sorry I just went out for a quick ride in her and I got carried away

heres a few photos where she dosent look too bad :-)

rust in all the usual places :

wind screen from and rear
front of wings
rear wheel arches

various places of surface rust

2 months left on MOT

just been up to local resteration and subject to structual check booked in for Tue , I think were going to start with the rear wheel arches

any recomendations for body specalists in the swindon area, I'll probably get a couple of quotes while I'm about it

Congratulations, nice colour, and that interior will be great when it's tidied up.

howmanyleft.co.uk says there are 8 on the road and 2 SORN, so pretty rare!
