2009 v70 scuttle drain block
 

Hi,

Owner of 2009 V70 2.0D manual for six months now and absolutely delighted with the car eg supremely comfortable (and deliciously heated) seats...

One small difficulty though:

Suspect blocked windscreen scuttle drains blocked due to leaves etc - sound of water sloshing behind dash when cornering etc. (Car often parked under trees, you see.)

This afternoon, removed plastic scuttle shroud - all dry behind with no sign of water ingress at air intake.
However, noticed possible debris blockages at very top corners of engine bay near hinges for bonnet, running down behind wheel arches. Is this the location of potentially blocked drains?

Would be very grateful for suggestions as to best way to remove such - power washer? Wire?
Any other suggestions?

can't give you any good suggestions, except I had this problem on my S80 from new. Dealer took 3 go's at resolving, final 'solution' was new windscreen to ensure properly sealed.

Managed to direct a pressure washer down the channels running down behind the wheel arches at the base of the A pillars last evening. A fair amount of old leaves & debris was blown out. On way home the earlier water sloshing sound was still to be heard...mmmmm.

Would be very grateful if anyone could direct me to the actual drain holes/tubes that may be blocked (yes, am obviously in denial about the possible need to reseal/replace windscreen whilst examining in detail the extended warranty I bought with the car...:err: )
