Some advice needed - V40 D4
 

Hi, I’ve never posted in this group before, and I haven’t owned a Volvo for a couple of years now, last volvo I owned was an S40 T4.

I looking into buying my wife a 2015/2016 V40 D4, but I have no idea what to look out and check for when buying one.

If anyone on here can give me some pointers, it would be much appreciated.

Hello, I bought mine just before Christmas. I spent a lot of time looking for buying guides.

Unfortunately their was not loads. I believe the biggest thing people called out was to check the electronic functions as that was the main thing that had reportedly gone wrong.

They're reliable cars built on proven technology.

As said above, check all electrics, windows, lights, instruments etc. they're not unreliable at all but can be expensive to fix.

Check all doors lock and unlock okay and can be opened from both sides.

Check heated seats work (if fitted)

Check for suspension knocks and rattles.

Check Volvo history including all recalls.
