2012 XC90 Jerking twice every few second at speed

I have a XC90 2012 and our local garage is puzzled by the car jerking very slightly at speed. Mainly noticed on A roads and very much on motorways. Rev counter and speed are not affected. Seems to be getting worse. Diagnostic checks with only a need to replacement gearbox oil. Car is very well maintained and is coming up to 95k on the clock. Anyone else experienced the problem and what was the issue to sort? Our garage has been exceptional for over 20 years. I’m not mechanical. With thanks Mike

no fault codes stored ? Injector terminal problems spring to mind but these will give a fault code .

Do you still get the jerking when you're coasting (i.e. off throttle) ?

All ok when coasting

No fault codes - cleared and checked twice by local garage. May need to take to Volvo dealership to see if they can anything more at a much higher price ??

Is it an auto gearbox?
Does it shudder and jerk when around 1800 RPM and going uphill?
If so, could be a slipping torque converter in the automatic gearbox.
Gearbox removal and rebuild required.

Thank you for your suggestion - slight jerking mainly when cruising with no difference on climbing a hill. Mainly noticed when over 40 especially at steady motorway speeds. Skid symbol occasionally showing has led me to believe it might be linked to censors on steering rack although not sure how this might create the slight jerking. Car is accelerating well with no holding back and seems to be better when pulling a caravan.

If the skid symbol is occassionally flashing up, this usually means the stability/traction control is being triggered and the throttle is being cut. In this case it's likely to be a faulty wheel speed sensor or something of that nature.

As above it does sound like the TC or ABS system playing up, clean the ABS rings as a first thing and might be the ABS module shuttle valves which are available and can be changed.

Sorry, couldn't help myself!
You shouldn't be jerking twice every few second at speed!
You'll do yourself some damage!
