There`s an `89 240 GL estate in a scrap yard in Chesterfield i`ve got a few bits & bobs off. It`s silver too, and i`m pretty sure the doors are all in good nick. Let me know if I can be any help with this.

Hi Rob I've been in touch Deaton's they told me the doors were good when they came in but unfortunately they pushed another car up against them.

Alternativly, I`ve got a silver 240 GL saloon on a G plate. Why don`t you buy this car for £500, and take the doors off it? ;) :D

its depends on the condition of the doors - but I will pay top money for them as I do not want rough ones - want ones I can put straight on the car. Can you look at them ascertain condition and any chance of pictures will pay good money for good doors. I am in need of these now.

Did you get any, I have a 1989 240 gl in silver, that was good condition, but head gasget went, so has stood for part for a couple of years, but should still be ok. I will look if you want them, but car dosent start and that side is against a wall, so will only look if you are interested.

Really? I think £100 for 2 doors is pretty good money.

Actually I don't live in Swindon, I live just north of it in a small village. House sits in 2 and a half acres, got a stable block and an old barn where I keep my classic cars. Funny I don't find this a problem don't see why you should.

What you give your children for pocket money is not any of my business. I have ten children and I have raised them to respect money and work for it hence now they are now at the top of their chosen fields.

You offered me two doors, sent me pictures of two doors covered in dust. Left me a message on here pick up ASAP. The doors you offered are not the colour of my car your doors might as well have been purple, pink or lime green. They were not the match of my car. I do not know what kind of cars you have but all my cars are perfect so let me try and make this clear to you again I say I will pay top money for good doors that are right. I do not want your doors. with an attitude like that why should anybody help you find the doors? you will find it very hard if nto impossible to find exact matches for your colour after all these cars are getting on now,members dont have to take the time to send you photos nor help you out, people store parts that may come in useful and not everyone has useful storage areas and things do collect dust!!! i think you should be thanking brodgar for his time and effort after all its not his fault the doors dont match, if you want people to help you really need to change your attitude this is a friendly helpful forum where i and many others appreciate the help and advice given and long may it continue. and if as you say all your cars are perfect why the need for the doors???

let me also explain

4== my doors are silver- with subcode 2 instead of 3

5== the buyer wanted them but was unwilling to pay my asking price.
At that moment he was aware of my colourcode/ he never arguied about
that.
One of his objections for my price was that he had to collect them
and had to drive here from swindon and pay the petrolcosts.Therefore
I have to reduce my price??? So this clarfies my remark-- not my fault
you live in swindon.
