Aircon Compressor Vibration and Growling Noise
 

Hi:
My Volvo S80 2.0T (MY2002.5) aircon compressor kicks in every 5 to 8 seconds and creates growling noise (getting louder after 30,000km). Also it vibrates the engine that can be felt on the steering wheel and pedals. At times it vibrates the car.

Any owners encounter similar problems and care to share how to resolve.

No had this, but clearly soemthing is wrong! Bearing in the compressor? Excess vibration won't do the pipe joints any good. Hopefully you still have Volvo warranty, else I suggest you find a good air con specialist (not just a garage that has bought a re-fill kit).
