Light bulb failure problem

Hi Guys.
Just bought a 2005 V70 D5, occasionally it comes up with a ligh bulb failure warning, however when I lock the car and unlock the message dissapears? Bit odd probably just a sensor or something. Just wondering if I should take it the dealer or is their a quick fix? Its on the left side.
Chris.

Silly question have you checked all the bulbs?....sometimes a bulb on its way out gives out the message too..

I had a look at the bulb and it looks ok, but how do you tell if its on its way out?

Could be a dodgy connection. For the price of a bulb, just change it.

Not sure about this, but....

I don't think you can actually have a dodgy sensor as such. The warning unit detects current running in the wire for the bulb, so unless it's the unit, you probably have a bulb going. My centre brake light took 2 weeks to go, the jiggling of the car breaks and makes the circuit when the bulb filament is loose and as it does so there's a chance of a spark, so the ends weld themselves back on for a minute or two.
