Buying a T5 what Problems should I look out for?

Ok my inner speeding teenager has been looking for a more sporty wagon, although I still love my 960 estate.

My brother encouraging my teenage self into naughtiness and as a complete Volvophile; - he has 4! Has found a relatively cheap 850 t5 Automatic and I am off to look at it tomorrow what potential problems should I look for?

Well it was a great run to into Norfolk with my 960 estate to look at the 850 T5 auto saloon but for me it was "Norfolk'n'Good!"

Turns out the car didn't have an MOT and therefore no test drive was possible  - Something neither my brother or myself knew before we went.

For the money being asked £2k the car was tatty but salvageable, £500 would get it on the road with an MOT and a good clean and a mop would transform the outside but it is not one for me.

Given that a more desired and tidy 850 t5 auto estate with 40k less mileage can be got for around £5k it was a pass for me.

This estate is £4999 now on eBay:

The car I looked at was a barn find really that has been off the road for 8 years...hopefully someone will take it on.. just not me.

Meanwhile back in my 960 and smiling
