Maybe the glovebox cooler is on? check the lever in the glovebox with the icicle symbol on.

draft ? very strange. How do conscripted soldiers get in ? Or did you mean deep, eg puddles ?

There are far more oppertunities for frivolity when the correct spelling is used..

Draughty footwell.

I too have on occasions had cold draughts in both passenger and driver footwells. I pulled and pushed at the rubber door seal on the driver's side which seemed to stop the problem I'm wondering if the seal is not aligned properly? Anybody with experience of this?

There a a number of issues with the door seals which collapse. (This is the seal that is on the bodywork to which the door fits.) I have had various seals changed a couple of times and they still collapse. Volvo now have a re-designed seal as they seem to have acknowledged the problem. I am having all four changed at next service under warranty.
I have hear from others that there is a slight improvement in wind noise with the new seals.
