lpg conversion
hi all
just had my C70 T5 converted to gas using zavolli kit 80ltr tank. the service and installation was perfect and so far no issues. the gas kicks in after 20secs of driving. going on a long motorway trip next week ( 360 miles round trip) so will let you know how much gas i put in and whether i had to refill or run on petrol. if you wanna know the company that did it, PM me |
Where the tank then? My boot well one is only 55 ltr.
With 80 litres you should be good for 400 miles  You may want to get an lpg map if you haven't got a sat nav overlay. |
hi
mines in the boot. I was gonna put 100Ltr tak but it was 5" too big so had to settle for 80 Ltr tried uploading some pics but wudnt let me. 400 miles? wow! i havnt got sat nav :( |
Mines only 55 litres to.
If I was to do it again I would think about getting a bigger tank. Normaly fill up and get around 45 litres in after 160 miles :-( |
160 miles :sad-smiley-023:
I regularly get 250+ from mine, hence why I reckon an 80 ltr tank is good for about 400. |
ive got a 48 litre tank and get 150 miles from it in my 740 estate but i know its not running right. should be getting much much better than that.
150 miles on 48 litres works out to around 15-16mpg!! |
I have got a 58ltr tank in my 98 V70 2.5 10V and with a full tank I get 300 miles ish.
|
Recently had LPG fitted to my 2.4T C70, 50l tank which means it only takes about 40l at the pump, but still get an easy 200mls per tank, over 225mls on a motorway run. Not ideal as parents live 240mls away, but the boot is still totally usable.
|
56 litre tank fitted to my V70R AWD. Takes about 48 litres to fill and I get between 180 and 200 miles, including spirited driving.
It is important to change the spark plugs more regularly (every 10,000 miles) with lpg, as the condition of the plugs affects mpg. |
use copper core plugs.
