"Free" Safety Inspection for my XC90 from Volvo???

Hello everyone, just wondering if there's anyone else who's had a phone call today or recently from Volvo main dealers?
Its defentley legit its the same msg from when I have my sevices or mots.
All they have said is can you bring your car XC90 in for a free safety Inspection, it will take about 1 hr.
I only had my service in October & mot in November by them.
Any ideas anyone???

Well its better to know about your faults than keep them festering , There is no obligation for them to do the repairs , If you ignore the faults you get to a point where you can not keep up with it and the car goes downhill rapidly to beyond repair economically . Much like the human body ...

True. but take your car to sturgess leics and see what happens. I took my navara there for its 3rd service. when I went to pick it up my bill had an extra £450 for removing my fuel tank, disposing (supposedly)of £70 worth of diesel because they found a small amount of water in the fuel filter housing.yes I had to pay or no car back. 4th service different garage they said tank has never been off. another occasion lady took her car there for free winter check. when she collected her car she was given a near 1k bill. I don't trust any garage.

Cheers for that link, clears the mind abit. Funny enough I have started to get a msg saying my anti-skid service is required, surly the brakes are part of the service I only had in October 🙈.

The message probably has nothing to do with the brakes, more likely it'll be the steering angle or "G" sensor, or another part of the traction control system.

They don't actually do anything with the brakes during the service other than check the thickness of friction material.
