Help with 240 Third Row Seat Installation

4 Attachment(s)
Got this from a friendly Volvo owner in WA.

Seat design is unlike one I have come across. There is no hook plate. What are the brackets with the black plastic hook things?
Seat came in three parts.
Am I meant to build a brace for the two thinner cushions to create a back rest? I set them up just how I think it would fit together... Any help would be appreciated.

That doesn’t look like the 3rd row seats I have in my 240, although I believe Volvo changed the design slightly at some point.

Do those plates with three holes look like they’d fit behind the strike plates for the 2nd row seats?

Are you sure the seats are from a 240? Volvo made them for 740s as well.

Cheers

I don’t know, they are at a 45 degree angle. I can’t imagine what they would be for. Strike plate is good thought. I will look into it.

Yeah it’s even different from the 740 seats I’ve seen.

There seems to be a missing frame for the “back” portion of the seat ie the two cushions that are not fixed to anything. There are holes that resemble the bottom portion of the seat.

I’m thinking I have to build my own frame and then use sweet of brackets and see what I can drum up in terms of an install.

Hopefully it is not too shotty.

I fitted a lot of there seats when new and don't recognise those parts. My guess is that they are from a early 145 which had a different rear floor.
