S90 D5 jerky transmission

Hi
When accelerating I can easily tell when the gear changes, it's jerky, especially on lower gears. The same when slowing down. Also, sometimes when I want to quickly accelerate, pushing the pedal hard, nothing happens, and then suddenly it revs to the max which is annoying.

What can be wrong?

I do not know if this will help but it has been reported that if you put the car in off road mode and accelerate past the 30mph off road limit the gearbox changes back to comfort mode at that speed and resets the gearbox learning. Worth a try to see if it improves.

Sorry was thinking about XC90 not S.

What is the mileage of the car? It may need oil change. Has it been updated recently by the dealer?
There is no Off Road mode on S90, so you can ignore that suggestion.

25k km only. No recent updates. The latest was Polestar, it was running fine for a couple of months

If you have a dealer nearby, you can ask it to do a total upgrade and TCM reset ( gearbox adaptation reset). If the car is still on warranty it should be free of charge.

I did it because i bought this car and i found that gearbox is working not like you want to. Went to dealer and they did it for free and then gearbox start learn my drive style.

it turned out that there was a tiny air leak in the air intake system. 100 EUR later and the car is awesome again - no more jerky and accelerates smoothly as hell :D
