Does anyone have remote engine start?

Hi, I have had my T6 Inscription for a few weeks and I notice I don't have the remote engine start on the VOC app. It is described in the manual (for certain markets). I don't mean the parking heater option, but the ability to remotely start the engine (really handy as we head into frosty mornings).

Is this a feature not available in the UK or can it be "activated"?

If you play with the demo mode of VOC it is available...

Thanks!

One of those markets that it aint available in im afraid.
I was told it was the UK insurers that kicked up a fuss about having an unattended cars engine running, think it may also be illegal and hence why.

Unless you have a V60 hybrid which I think does have it, but that maybe is electric charge

If there is a legality it will be something like not fully in control of the vehicle or some such. I can imagine insurance companies getting nervous though. But if you've got keyless start I suppose you can always go out, start it and lock it. I used to do this occasionally on my BMWs. Or on my '65 Beetle where you could just pull the key out of the ignition :)

I tried that. The car doesn't lock when the engine is running :)
