V50 tow bar scrap yard shopping... what else fits?
 

I need to put a bicycle rack on a 2007 V50, and the tow ball type seems to be the best choice.

One ebike only:

• ride ebike to ferry,
• ride ebike to car on the mainland
• remove bike rack from V50, install on tow ball
• after day's chores, find on-street parking
• remove ebike, store rack
• ride ebike back to the island.

No wiring needed, just the tow bar. It will never be used to tow a trailer.

Scrap yard shopping in Auckland is limited if I specify tow bar off a V50 or S40.

What other Volvo models use a tow bar that would fit the V50?

You say you don't need electrics, but won't the bike obscure the number plate and rear lights, which will necessitate additional number plate (with illumination) and tail lights?
