Help required on sizes please
I have the resonator whoosh of death - Thanks to this forum I have both Identified the source of the leak and chosen the cheaper and (often recommended) better replacement method, the silicone hose.
Question is what size jubilee clips (I will buy the heavy duty type) are required for the silicone hose? I believe the end may be different sizes. Have a nice day |

Answering my own question in case someone sees this thread.
56mm-59mm and 60mm-63mm sizes fit perfectly on the replacement silicone hose. I used the very heavy jubilee clips not the thin weak ones. The job was quite easy but unfortunately for me my resonator and seals were in good condition and not the cause of my boost leak even though I had the oil weep on them  I suppose it's something that should never fail in the future now - nothing wrong with a bit of preventative maintenance. |
And just to close the thread - the leak was found after doing a smoke test. It was not possible to check whilst revving the engine, it doesn't produce enough boost to find the leak - you need to put it under load to get higher boost.
It was the Intercooler to EGR pipe that was leaking. |
