Broken axle
 

Anybody interested in a 3.91 ratio axle (not sure what has blown yet) it was still driving but making a horrible knocking noise and the diff has been moving inside the casing and hitting the backplate, it could just be the bearings have collapsed.

From a 1991 940 GL, I will be removing the speedometer sensor though.
