Hybrid battery charge leak???

I’ve been losing charge when my MY24 XC60 Recharge is Parked-up. There is no precondition set.
Today I parked in a carpark this morning and the charge dropped from 51% to 49% in 3.5 hours- normal when it goes to sleep?
I returned home today at 13:30 with 8% in the Battery. I plugged in the 3pin charging cable with a timed charge to start at 23:30 tonight. The blue light came on and extinguished. By 16:00 the charge was down to 2%. Is it feeding back down the cable? Sounds daft but can’t think of anything else short of a failure in car’s batteries.
Have just started using timed charge, until then was plugging in for immediate charge so always removed cable at 100% and never noticed charge loss.
Anyone else have anything similar going on?

My friend had similar with a merc hybrid. Faulty charger was leaking charge away. He only realised when came to the car to find it completely and utterly dead.

Sounds similar, thanks

Whilst the above events appear to have taken place on recent milder days many do not realise that these batteries will lose charge if the temperature is around or below zero C and also will not charge to full capacity.
During the recent cold snap I spoke to someone who runs a small fleet of electric delivery vans who explained that the sub zero temperatures were compromising the overnight charge and reducing the daily range.

I’ve been checking the battery charge throughout the day today and I’ve isolated the issue. When the car is set for a timed charge with the cable plugged in (but not charging yet) it loses charge at a significant rate, today from 68% to 63% in three hours. Can’t be right so will be booking into the dealers. I fear it’s a Charger issue, as Philips friend experienced with his Merc.
Anyone suffered the same

I have a similar issue with my new Volvo V90 Ultimate recharge - battery % drops reasonably quickly. I'd set it to charge overnight yesterday but awoke to 0% battery today. I took the car for a spin to charge it from the engine as nothing was working plugging into my pod point or using the supplied 13A cable - and this seemed to trigger the car to charge when I plugged it in when I got home having put around 20% of range into to battery whilst doing 19mpg..... Having plugged it in for a bit, I stopped the car charging on my peak rate electricity and then, a few minutes later, tried to restart the charging from the app. Nothing. I went out to the car, unlocked and then locked the car - and it's charging again. This is a bit frustrating in a £70k car. So I have a few issues to resolve; 1) why is the hybrid battery depleting (it's not just the range which I know drops with temperature - it's also a fairly quick drain on the battery charge % if I just leave it locked and standing on the drive), 2) why doesn't the car charge at all if the battery is 0% and maybe a third query if I can't get the scheduled charge to work. I previously had an XC90 recharge which - one failed on-board charger unit apart - worked reasonably reliably when plugged in!

It is a bug with MY24. I contacted local Volvo dealer and they said that it will be fixed with future software update. Didn’t know when… It only happens with scheduled charging

I had exactly the same problem in my new XC60 T6 collected from the dealer last week. I noticed the battery was slowly degrading after being plugged in for a scheduled charge.

Spoke to the head technician at my local dealer on Monday and he looked at a software update that came out last week which sounded like it would cure it. Went in the garage yesterday for the update and sure enough it fixed it. Also gave me a couple more miles of range after a full charge. Volvo said that the update will come out OTA in the next few weeks.

My MY24 XC60 T8 is only giving a range of about 40 miles on a full charge, I am hoping the software update also fixes this.

What range are you getting on a 100% charge?

Thats pretty good given the current outside temperatures. Mine is currently between 36-38 miles depending on how cold it is.
Wait until warmer weather arrives and it will be mid 40's.
