V90 Starting
In March of this year I exchanged my Volvo V60 for a 2017 V90 D4 Auto with 30,000 on the clock. I am very pleased with the car - the development of the digital technology especially. But once or twice I week, particularly first thing in the morning, as I press the brake pedal before turning “start” the pedal is rigid rather than spongy and it doesn’t start. This corrects itself in a minute or so. The Volvo dealership has reassured me twice that this is “perfectly normal” but it still seems odd to me. Any thoughts please?

I have had the same randomly occur, you have to really press the brake pedal and it feels really solid. First year of ownership it never happened, then this year it has done it on 5 occasions. The car has just had the 2nd service and I mentioned this problem, after running diagnostics they couldn't find any fault. I don't think it is 'perfectly normal' as it doesn't get mentioned in any other posts I have read.
There may be more response if you post in the General section further down the page, this is really for 'sales' and 'wants.' |
Many thanks Mike. I’m still trying to navigate my way around the site!
