B172 timing belt replacement
 

Hi

Somehow I found an excellent section of this site that detailed how to replace and tension the timing belt on the B200-B230 engines and some others. It is at http://www.volvoclub.org.uk/tech/Ser...on2-D8-D12.pdf
Unfortunately, I cannot find one that covers the later type B172 engine that has 2 belt tensioners.
Can anyone help?
Is it covered in the Haynes 440 manual?

Very simple to cahnge the belt
step by stop.

Set engine to tdc
undo plug by oil dip stick
Use 8mm bar to lock the crank - through above hole
remove fan belt
remove belt cover
undo tensioner at the top
pull of the belt
refit in reverse order make sure mark on top pully lines up on cam cover.
