V40 D4 SE Manual

Had the above as a courtesy car from Lloyd Volvo when my V50 2.0d was in for a service.
Did about 140 miles in it.
Gearbox very nice, precise and easy to shift. My V50 was pretty vague since new.
Felt well screwed together.
Not sure but I felt the seats not as comfy as other Volvo seats. They may just need a bit of wear.
Engine was lovely (new D4) and the car could fairly shift.
According to the computer average was 51.5 mpg which was pretty good.
Not too sure that I liked the dashboard display buy I guess one would get used to it.
Compared to a BMW120D(183bhp?) I had a demo in the V40 was far nicer and felt much quicker.

In case you didn't know, you can change the theme of the dashboard display, depending on your mood.

Ahh, ok. I have only been looking at R's. You are probably right.

Every Volvo demonstrator I've seen for V40's has the Active TFT display... so quite possible that Loskie had it on the loan car :)

It is possible but he said it was a LOAN car and an SE to boot (he didn't say if it was a LUX or not.

The crystal display is Standard on the 'R' Design but optional on the CC. I'm not even sure if it is available on the standard SE.

I don't know if Lux or not but looked at PDI sheet in glovebox which told me SE. One thing I did think good was it was on standard 16" alloys not stupid blingy big wheels.

The Active TFT is a £300 option for all models (Except R Design & R Design Lux, where it's standard).
