Replacing fuel hose (return line)

Hi,

as preventive maintenance, I'd like to replace the fuel hose which connects the fuel pressure regulator to the fuel line (return line) on my 1997 S40 2.0L. I think after 24 years of good service, that hose deserves some rest and I should renew it for peace of mind because a leak there would be dramatic (the hose touches the engine block and sits right above the injectors and their wiring).

It should be a fairly straightforward process to replace that hose. However, I'm a little worried about which hose to choose as a replacement. Since that hose goes along the engine head, it must be able to whistand high temperatures. I guess pressure is no big deal as it is the return line. Woud you have a recommandation for that hose?

I'd love going Volvo genuine for that hose but unfortunately I can't find its reference in VADIS. It seems that hose is connected to the fuel pipe (nr 9207739) but the hose has no reference. Don't know whether that means it can only be purchased with the fuel pipe... The hose I'm talking about is the one pointed out in this pic from VADIS:

It looks short on that pic but it is about the length of the fuel rail as it runs parallel to it.

Anyways, would a GATES 3225-family hose do the work reliably and safely? Regarding the clamps, what would you use? Volvo uses Oetker style clamps but I don't have the tool to install these. Would regular hose clamps (stainless steel) be okay for that purpose or is this a no-go on fuel hoses?

Thanks!
