Door Seal Leaking Water
 

I have been getting water in the footwell of my 940. Looking at the door seals I believe this is the cause. Where is the best place to buy new? And are they reasonably easy to swap?

That may be the cause but i'd also check the floorpans in the footwells, particularly the front. They are known to rust in those places and i've just welded in a patch for the MoT on mine, previously the passenger footwell also needed a patch welded in.

I’m looking for a door seal as well. I don’t think you can buy them new anymore. Trying to get one from a breaker but nothing as yet

I think you can get them from Skandix, but eye-wateringly expensive - and that was before Brexit and import duties. There's a UK firm that advertise a 'universal' seal claimed to be compatible, but I don't know whether it is. Sorry, I can't remember who it was, but you'd find it quickly with a Google search.

That's the one! I should stress that I haven't tried the product, so I don't know if it would seal effectively on a 7/900.

The main difficulty is getting old (or donor) ones off and then sticking on the new ones. The adhesive is very sticky and hard to remove.

The vertical sections are stuck on and using spongy trim tape I found it wasn't very sticky to the rubber. However after getting it to stick briefly I closed it up and it (driver door) seems to be holding on ok. If you can try to find a tape that is compatible with rubber it might be more secure.

The rest of it is secured by friction on a lip that sticks out of the door, but this can be attacked by rust. I can't tell if that is your problem there, but it looks like its the horizontal section along the top that has come addrift. Seems its likely your lip has rusted away.

BTWI think these are for noise reduction not water sealing.

Tony have you used the seals in the links provided by Dave? Mine has gone on the top corner and anything over 50mph is very loud and not reducing the noise at all.
