What "glue" for headlining on A pillar?
The headliner material (beige) covering the A pillars has come away from the pillars on both sides and is drooping and looking sad. I think it is as a consequence of a windscreen replacement a year or two ago.
Anyways... it looks like a simple job or pulling the pillars of and re-gluing the material onto the pillar. So question is - what glue would people recommend - I am guessing any common or garden variety will do the job - bout I dont want it soaking through the lining and being "visible" so is there a glue specific for headliners ? Thanks for any input - John |

Thanks but I am just planning to stick down the edges. So spray on will be a pain for such a relatively small area. I am thinking more of a "brush on" contact adhesive or straight from the tube.

I used copydex fabric glue. BIG mistake.
It came through the material which is very porous and looks a mess. Still don't know what I'm going to do to sort it out. But don't make my mistake. Try on an invisible area first. |
3M 08080 (automotive trim adhesive) .... has about a 15min open time and an adjustable spray pattern, clean overspray with WD40 on an old dishcloth before it sets ... about £15 + vat

Spray glue carpet adhesive squirt some in a can top or small container then brush it on leave for about 60 seconds (tacky) about £5.00 a tin, loads left for other jobs, cam.
