Any DPF fluid on this system?

I have just purchased a 2013 XC60 D5 geartronic with 39k. What kind of Dpf system does it use please? I have come from Citroens with EOLYS.

99.99% sure there is no EOLYS on your car. I have a V70 D5 2014 and it 100% don't have EOLYS. Don't think any 5 pot has EOLYS. Some V50 have it though.
Cheers Bob

Bob: Thank you very much. I think it is older (better?) system where the bigger engine can reach the temps to regenerate without fluid. Thank goodness, as failed ad blue pumps were costly on the French cars.

Its a better system, but you still need to bring it on motorway runs for at least 20-30 minutes if you’re only driving around town regularly. Otherwise, soot will build up & that can clog the DPF.

I suggest doing this every month if its not doing or won’t be doing regular motorway journeys.

Bigger engine, and the car is large enough to accommodate the slightly larger DPF unit that inert systems require. See, Volvo's Tonka design philosophy works!

Car gets a blast every journey on motorway. No shopping trips for this thunderbus............that is what Honda Jazz are for:icon_smile_lachuh:
